Supporting Teens Through Anxiety – Why I Created This Programme

Over the years, through chats with friends, family, and the parents of clients, I started to notice a pattern. More and more young people—especially pre-teens and teenagers—are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, withdrawn, or emotionally stuck. Sometimes it's social pressure, sometimes it's school, sometimes it’s just a sense of not feeling like themselves. But one thing became clear: they often don’t have the tools or language to process what’s going on. That’s what sparked the idea for this programme. I started offering support to a few young people, using a blend of coaching tools, mindset work, and calming hypnosis. The shift was incredible. One parent told me: “Being around my child is like being around a completely different kid.” That moment sealed it for me. I knew this was something I wanted to focus on—because when young people feel calm, confident, and connected, it changes everything.

What the Programme Looks Like

This 4-week anxiety support programme is specifically designed for teens (roughly 11–17). It's gentle, practical and empowering—giving them the tools to understand what’s going on in their mind, regulate their emotions, and start to feel like themself again. Each week builds on the last:

Week 1: Understanding Anxiety

We look at what’s really going on in the brain and body—and help them realise they’re not broken, they’re just human.

Week 2: Tools for Calm

Breathing techniques, thought-spotting, body-based tools—easy strategies they can actually use when anxiety shows up.

Week 3: Confidence & Self-Belief

We work with self-talk, identity and emotional safety—helping them shift negative thinking and build a more solid sense of self.

Week 4: Connection & Moving Forward

Healthy boundaries, emotional regulation, and positive forward focus—tools that help them feel stronger in themselves and their relationships.

A Safe Space to Feel Better

This isn’t school. It’s not therapy. It’s a space where they’re really heard, where everything is explained in a way that makes sense, and where they can learn how to manage anxiety instead of being controlled by it.
